Shock and Cold front detection in cool core galaxy clusters
Abstract
We present Chandra observations of three cooling flow clusters PKS 0745-191, RXCJ 0352.9+1941 and ZwCl 3146. Our analysis discovers two cold fronts in Zwcl 3146, one cold front in RXCJ 0352.9+1941 and one shock front in PKS 0745-191. These fronts associated with the temperature and surface brightness discontinuities. The shock front detected in PKS 0745-191 have Mach number ${\cal M}$ $\sim$ 1.3 and derived from density and temperature jumps. Its corresponding velocity $v_{shock}$ $\sim$ 2420 km s$^{-1}$. We also estimate the shock energy $E_{shock}$ $\sim$ $1.17\times10^{62}$ erg and shock power $P_{shock}$ $\sim$ $5.9\times10^{45}$ erg s$^{-1}$. which is alone sufficient to offset the cooling due to radiative loss. Also, this work contributed to increasing the number of discontinuities detected in clusters.
